Suspension of Indus Water Treaty and other diplomatic actions taken by india ( Part - 2 )

 


After the heinous terrorist attack in Pahalgam on tourists by Pakistan backed terrorists, Indian state had taken some very serious Diplomatic actions against Pakistan -:

1) India Suspended Indus Water Treaty, 1960, until Pakistan credibly stops its support to cross-border terrorism.

2) Closure of integrated checkpost at Attari - Wagah border.

3) All the Pakistani citizens in India  were asked to leave in 48 hrs and entry of Pakistani nationals in India Suspended.

4) Pakistani defense advisors in India declared Persona Non Grata.


Act Of War - :

Pakistan says any attempt to divert water meant for it under Indus Water Treaty will be considered an "Act of War "

Ceasefire Violation -:

During all these diplomatic actions after Pahalgam attack of 22nd April,  there were continuous ceasefire violation by Pakistani armed forces near Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajauri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sunderbani, and Akhnoor.


Mock Drill and Operational Freedom :-

During this time Prime Minister Modi had provided Full Operational Freedom to Indian armed forces.



 And nationwide civil defence Mock Drills were announced on 7th May in 244 districts.
